She was already in the zone and there was no stopping her once she started. Despite being in the middle of classes, Elle was focused on hacking a company firewall undetected than paying attention. Currently she was in her Algebra I class and she didn’t like it so far. She found it too easy and the people in her class always had something to say because she was the youngest amongst the freshmen. It wasn’t her fault that she showed smarts for a twelve year. Heck. Someone in this class needed brains. Of course she wasn’t the type to just raise her hand. Nope, Elle was that geek who sat in the back not even attempting to try her hand at it. Come on. This is way too easy. What kind of company has such a weak firewall. She thought with hint of sarcasm, I could hack this sleeping for sure. Elle was confident in her skills, but who wouldn’t? It wasn’t like she was exactly normal…or human. She was a “thing” that had an ability to affect technology whether or not she’s touch it. Damn proud of her skills too. If she wasn’t such a genius, she’d probably hack the school and change her grades, but she was pretty much acing everything except physical education since she was too sick to participate. Of course that was a lie. Elle just couldn’t be discovered by others that she had wings sprouting from her back. That would be too embarrassing. Looking up from her laptop slightly, Elle looked at the board slyly hoping she wouldn’t be called on. How much longer? She wanted to get out of class already.
