However, he is unable to tolerate lava and molten temperatures. During times of stress or extreme emotions, the temperature directly around Theo will increase slightly as a result of his power attempting to manifest. Because he was created with the power to create and control fire, he does not feel the extremes of cold weather, nor the scorching heat of extreme temperatures. His body temperature is naturally higher then normal humans and other experiments. a bad fever to one person is perfectly normal to Theo. He has enhanced strength and endurance as well as a result of not only training, but experimentation. his body can withstand a good amount of abuse before it's down for the count and he's persistent, so he doesn't like to give up even when he's at the edge of consciousness. unfortunately, the scientists didn't think it necessary to give him enhanced speed, but he makes up for that with his enormous strength. history Theo was a test-tube experiment, born and raised in the lab and knowing nothing but what happened there. But that doesn't mean he enjoyed it. He was created as a weapon - a walking flamethrower that would obliterate all in its path, trained day and night in combat and use of his powers. His only family were other experiments like him, though he didn't consider them family so much as partners or brothers in arms. They tested his endurance by forcing him into extremely cold or hot conditions, made him fight against other experiments to increase his skill and strength. When they discovered his immunity to fire, they decided to test just how much heat he could tolerate, forcing him through a series of tests at the age of ten. It started with a hot, oven-like room, which hardly had an effect, followed by putting him into fire, and then, when they found that it didn't affect him, they decided to try something even hotter - small amounts of lava. Theo knew that he couldn't handle the heat, however, the scientists refused to believe it and poured the lava they'd created in the lab onto his hands. They discovered on that day that even his immunity has a limit and Theo realized that he had to escape. For the next five years, they continued to train and experiment. At the age of fifteen, he got a group of experiments like him and they made their move. They broke out of their cages and made their way through the maze of Itex, taking out anyone in their way, being the weapons they were created to be. However, the others were caught, and in his desperation to escape, Theo used them as the necessary distraction to make it over the walls and out into freedom. The scar on his forehead, just above his right eyebrow, was received during that escape when an Eraser managed to land a strong blow to the head. Two years later, he is keeping a low profile, fighting off other experiments hunting him when they come, and doing everything he can to stay free. OTHER NOTES Since his escape, he has refused to go by the name they gave him: theodore, and instead goes by the shortened 'Theo'. He gave himself a last name upon his escape to help him blend in better with society. Theo doesn't like being in any situation where he is not in control of his own body, which is why he dislikes any form of transportation except walking (and maybe car as long as he's behind the wheel). He is also claustrophobic to the point that he won't enter a building if he can't clearly see the exits and windows and even then won't stray too far from the exits and windows. His affinity with control, combined with his claustrophobia, is what makes him afraid of flying, trains, boats, etc., (though oddly enough he's ok with the ocean and heights). He never wears a sweater, jacket, or long sleeved shirt, even in snowy or freezing temperatures because of his high body temperature. While he enjoys being in cold snowy places, he knows that they weaken his ability to manifest his powers, therefore he doesn't remain in those environments too long. He likes sweets, but has learned not to eat them and prefers sugar free sweets. [/style]
