| [atrb=valign,top][atrb=style, width:216px; padding: 10px; border-right: 1px dashed #9E9A93; border-top: 1px dashed #9E9A93; border-bottom: 1px dashed #9E9A93; ] [style=overflow: auto; height: 220px;]name. lily wing age. sixteen gender. female height. 5'5" species. experiment positive points. ■ friendly negative points. ■ naive [/style] | [atrb=width,225px,true][atrb=style, width:216px; padding: 10px; border-top: 1px dashed #9E9A93; border-bottom: 1px dashed #9E9A93; ][atrb=valign,top][style=overflow: auto; height: 220px;] family. her father experiment type. other abilities. lily has the unique ability to build and project illusions into both her own mind and the minds of others, within a half-mile radius. anything she imagines can be constructed, though the more complex the more thought and mental strain it requires, and it's next to impossible to discern reality from perception. she can provoke pain or other forcible emotions on others while in her "created world" (although, she's much too nice to utilize such an ability). however, she she becomes highly emotional, she's been know to lose control and begin to unintentionally "warp" her surroundings. history when lily was born, life was less than perfect. her father was often away from home, while her mother was into drinking, shopping, and choosing her favorite soap operas over her daughter. lily became lonely, and her first memories are of family tension. when she was four, she remembered her mother yelling about her father's work -- whatever it was she'd found out, and she threatened to tell everybody she knew. two days later, she had vanished. lily's dad said she ran off and probably wouldn't be coming back, and she never did. and so her life as a single-parent child began. the girl went to school, but whenever her father wasn't working he was homeschooling her on the down-low -- she quickly rose to the top of her class, skipped a grade, and still found the work easy. her single father, as fate would have it, was a well-regarded scientist at I.T.E.X., and though lily certainly knew 0% of what he did, she marveled at the mystery and dedicated her life to being a scientist like him. he doted on her and began schooling the growing girl on the basics of biology and chemistry. when she was eleven, he asked her if she wanted to help him with his work. she vehemently agreed. the next day, he took her with him to I.T.E.X.. and that was the day she became an experiment. she was put under, and when she woke up she found the walls of her reality quivering at the edges -- and with a simple whim, she could make them move! it was exciting and scary and mysterious all at the same time. she was officially homeschooled from then on, while she learned to hone her new school. and because of both her relation to her father and her unwavering loyalty to him and everything he did, she was not required to be hold in captivity like nearly all of the other experiments were. after three months of training she was allowed to leave and go home. but now her desire to become a scientist was stronger than ever. it didn't take much string-pulling to allow her to job shadow and act as an intern of sorts on set days of the week. if she knew about the cruelty that is at the heart of I.T.E.X. and yhe true horrors the other experiments are often subjected to, she would drop everything and quit immediately. her father knows this, so he effectively hides it from her -- after all, if she were to leave she would know too many secrets, and he didn't want her to end up like her mother did. so he keeps her sheltered, allowing the only contact with the inmates to be with the more stable and content ones, and only allowing her to directly help with them if it's to use her powers to calm them or manipulate them in "positive" ways. besides that, she mainly sticks to research, where she naively pours her heart into everything she does.
