(blood related). nudge, iggy, the gasman, angel, total (flock) experiment type. avian abilities. fang, like all avian experiments, possesses powerful wings: pitch black raven wings with a seventeen foot wingspan. his power of flight is not the only ability he possesses, however. his dark demeanor gives him the peculiar power to become invisible, at least to a degree. by standing perfectly still, he is able to blend into his surroundings. the moment he moves or speaks, however, he will become visible once more. like the rest of the flock, he developed gills, giving him the ability to breathe under water. he is very physically strong and possesses incredible endurance, even for the flock. while not officially trained in martial arts, living on the run for his childhood and teen years has provided him with the training he needs to be a very competent fighter. experimentation in itex lab since his recapture has let not only to a change in his eye color, (from black to golden) but also a newly gained ability - thermographic vision (which he can activate and deactivate at will). history peace was such a rarity for them, that even fang was reluctant to accept it when it initially came about. he was so used to having to run, to fight, to survive that living wasn't something that came particularly easy to him. he was always on edge, watching over his shoulder, hiding his wings despite the apparent mutual understanding between the normal humans and the 'experiments'. not quite trusting enough to relax. Until, of course, his first child was born. with the birth of jason (who much to his pride had pitch black wings just like his father!) fang was able to start settling down. he was more willing to be normal, if not for max and himself, for his son, whom he wanted to grow up as a regular child, free of ridicule. it was one year later that danielle, (his baby girl) was born. life in the flock slowly became more and more human (safe for the occasional 'teaching your son how to fly'). the flock only grew larger with the birth of iggy's twins, who he regarded as his niece and nephew. unfortunately, the peace didn't last long, and completely immersed in the 'normal life' the disruption caught fang even more off guard than he ever could have handled. itex rose from the shadows once more and came after them -- their children, only five years after jason's birth. they were forced on the run, much to fang's frustration. the normal life he wanted for his kids was destroyed by the same organization that destroyed his own. his instinct for survival stretched so far beyond saving himself and his flock. now there was something greater to take care of. his family. so he and max and iggy did the only thing they could to keep their families safe. they gave themselves up to keep itex off of the trail, leaving their kids to what they hoped would be better families until they could find a way back to them. his time back in the school has been less than pleasant. tests have continued once more -- various endurance and strength tests left him exhausted and bruised; blood tests and muscle experiments left him sore and often sick. it was the experimentation on his eyes that changed everything though. instead of blinding him, like iggy, they gave him a new ability. thermographic vision. at first, he couldn't see anything but grayscale and various layers of color that were people around him and actually feared this was all he'd see for the rest of his life. soon, however, his eyes, now golden, began to adjust, vision returning to normal. this new power of his, which he can activate and deactivate at will, has become more of an asset to him than the school would like. he lives in a cage, barely large enough to stand straight and move around but certainly not long enough to spread his wings. for years he's been like this. unable to fly. but still unbroken. fang's spirit is much harder to crush than that and he's constantly looking for opportunities to get max and iggy (who he saw only during relocation around the school), and escape. his first order of business: find his kids. because he knows without a doubt that they've survived and can only hope they'll forgive him for leaving.
